Please follow these instructions to correctly fill out your Managed DMCA Takedown Case


1.  Login into the DMCA.com Secure ManagementPortal login.dmca.com and enter your username and password.

2.  Select the Managed Cases tab

3.  Select the green tab

4.  Make certain the contact information is correct - if not click the "edit" URL and correct.

    - DMCA Takedowns cannot be submited anonymously.

5.  Fill in the “Stolen Content URL / Location

    - This is the location of the stolen content.

    - make certain to add the "https://" where needed

    - We suggest you copy it straight from the website location window as this will fill in the https:// information.

6.  Fill in the “Where was it copied from?”

    - This is the location of the original content again we suggest you copy it straight from the website location window.

    - if was a facebook or other social media account please reference this url

7.  Fill in the “Describe what happened in detail”

    - Be concise in your description, state facts and Do Not get into emotions.

    - eg. "The following site https://www.theirsite.com has taken content from my site https://www.mysite.com. As the copyright owner I am requesting the following infringements be removed immediately."

    - Source url: https://www.mysite.com/homepage “copied text from my site”

    - Infringing url: https://www.theirsite.com/homepage “copied text from their site”

8.  Check the box for “ I swear under penalty of perjury that I have reasonable good faith belief that use of the material in the manner specified above is not authorized by me, the company I represent, its agents, or the law. The information provided herein is accurate to the best of my knowledge.”

9.  Review your entries then select SAVE.

10.  You will be taken to another page called case list. You should now see the case you just completed with a DMCA.com Takedown CASE #.

11.  Case Comments this section is the secure chat location used to communicate with DMCA.com takedown professionals regarding your case. look here for update information or questions from DMCA.com staff.

    - use this location to enter additional comments regarding your case.
